Great Barrier Reef Sailing Tour FAQs – Answered
What do I need to bring?
Other than a keen sense of adventure, we recommend packing a soft bag with a beach towel, bathing suit, sunhat, practical clothing and footwear, sunscreen (minimum SPF 30+), and your camera to capture your experience. For non-licenced vessels, guests are welcome to BYO drinks (no glass bottles please!).
What’s included with a Great Barrier Reef sailing tour?
All of our sailing tours on the Great Barrier Reef include free use of snorkelling equipment, fantastic meals and drinks, and fresh linen sheets for our multi-day/overnight sailing tours on the Great Barrier Reef. Some of our vessels will supply towels, so please check ahead of your tour to make sure that your vessel includes towels and – if it doesn’t – pack your own.
Where do the tours depart from?
- Coral Sea Marina North End (Meeting point B)
- Coral Sea Marina South End (Meeting point C)
When you book your tour, you’ll be provided with all of the relevant information around departure location, time, and when you need to arrive.
Can I BYO onto the boat?
Most vessels within Whitsunday Sailing Adventures are BYO with the exception of Kiana. Some of our vessels have restrictions on the quantity of alcohol that you are allowed to bring on board, so please get in contact with us ahead of your tour if you have any questions.
Where can I store my travel luggage?
You can pack a small soft bag with all of the essential items that you’ll need for your tour. For any additional baggage or if you’re travelling on one of our multi-day sailing tours, you can store your baggage at ‘The Travel Shop’ located at 344 Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach for $10 per person for the entire time that you’ll be on board.
