FAQs
Is alcohol allowed on board?
Yes, our vessels have a BYO policy. You can bring along your own drinks if you wish, but please note that no glass bottles or red wine are allowed on board.
Can I bring my bags onboard?
Yes – all guests can bring along a small bag or pouch for their essentials. Large backpacks and luggage bags cannot be stored onboard and will have to be deposited at storage services that can be found along Airlie Beach. These services typically charge a fee depending on the length of the tour.
What will I need to bring on board?
Our Whitsundays backpacker and youth sailing tours will cover most of the essentials – you’ll only need to bring essential personal items:
- Change of clothes (preferably loose fitting)
- Sunscreen (at least SPF 50+)
- Water bottles – there are refill stations onboard
- Protective wear – sunglasses, a sun hat
- Swimwear
- Towels
- Light footwear such as flip-flops or thongs, and shoes if you plan to hike up to the Hill Inlet Lookout
- A camera
Which is better, a 2-day or 3-day sailing tour?
It really depends on how much time you have to spend in the Whitsundays. If you’re not pressed for time, a 3-day sailing tour is the best option to experience more of what the Whitsundays has to offer without feeling rushed. That being said, a 2-day trip will cover all of the highlights of the region.
