Getting to the Whitsundays

By Air:

Fly into Whitsunday Coast Airport  (Proserpine – PPP) and then take a shuttle (own expense) to Airlie Beach. By doing a google search for “Airlie airport transfers” you will find many companies that will provide this service, some will also offer “door to door” drop offs.

Alternatively, you can fly into Hamilton Island (HTI) and then catch a ferry to Airlie Beach. This ferry will take roughly 75 minutes and can only be booked through a company called Cruise Whitsundays.

By Coach

A number of express coach companies offer services from most major cities to Airlie Beach, Whitsunday's.  See www.greyhound.com.au and www.premierms.com.au.

By Car:

Driving south from Cairns and north from Brisbane along the Bruce Highway, turn off at Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) and follow the signs 26 km to Airlie Beach.

By Rail:

Queensland Rail operate regular services to the Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine and Airlie beach). The new high-speed tilt train services the Whitsunday region.  Call 13 22 32 for further information.
